At First Calvary Baptist Church, we believe everyone has a next step.
Whether you are exploring faith, new to our church, or ready to grow deeper, we are excited to walk with you on your journey.
Step 1 – Discern (Pray)
If you’re new to First Calvary, your first step is simple: come and see.
We invite you to plan a visit and be one of our First Time Angels. When you arrive, you’ll receive a special gift and a warm welcome from our team. If you’d like to learn more about who we are, we also encourage you to attend New Member Connect. This class is for new members and for anyone discerning if First Calvary is the right church home. You’ll learn about our mission, values, beliefs, and vision.
Step 2 – Decide (Join)
If you’ve decided to join First Calvary or accept Jesus Christ and be baptized, New Member Connect is your next step.
During this experience, we’ll share what we believe about faith, baptism, discipleship, and the mission of the church. This is where your commitment begins to take shape.
Step 3 –Develop (Study & Serve)
Disciples grow through study and service.
After New Member Connect, we encourage you to join a study group and serve on a ministry team. This is how we grow spiritually and build meaningful relationships. Start by completing the Spiritual Gift Assessment that is in your New Member Booklet. Afterwards, begin reviewing the Spiritual Gifts Ministry Inventory to discover where God may be calling you to serve. Once complete, finish our Volunteer Onboarding modules to prepare you for ministry at First Calvary.
Step 4 – Devote (Sacrifice)
As you continue growing in God’s Word and serving others, we invite you to trust God with your resources.
Generosity is a core value at First Calvary. We believe giving is a privilege and an act of
worship. We don’t give to have church—we give to be the church.
Step 5 – Disciple (Lead)
Our final step is also our greatest calling: leading others to Jesus Christ.
We cultivate an invitational culture where everyone is encouraged to invite others into the life of the church. We challenge our members to invite twelve people each month. Invitation cards are available to help you share the good news. Additionally, we offer a private leadership cohort for those called to deeper leadership development.
