The Strategic Vision

Rooted in Faith, Rising in Power

Blossom 2030 is First Calvary Baptist Church’s five-year strategic vision for spiritual depth, financial freedom, community transformation, and generational impact.

From 2025–2030, we are committing ourselves to faithful stewardship, bold investment, and Christ-centered action so that our church remains strong, sustainable, and deeply rooted in the West End for generations to come.

Mission Statement:

Transforming our community through strategic investment, ensuring a thriving, faith-centered, and self-sustaining legacy for generations to come.

Vision Statement:

Through faith, stewardship, and community engagement, we will pay off our mortgage, acquire key properties, expand our ministries, and solidify First Calvary Baptist Church as a beacon of Kingdom and community empowerment.

Blossom Framework:

How You Can Participate:

  • Pray – Wednesdays at 7AM
  • Give – Sacrificial Giving Toward Mortgage Reduction
    • We will have 3 sacrificial Sundays, where we seek to raise $50,000 each. We are asking members to sow $150 above their tithes and offering! Commit to give $450 a year toward the project!
  • Serve – Apply to the Strategic Planning Committee or volunteer for a ministry!

We are excited about your interest in joining the Strategic Planning Committee for Blossom 2030.

The purpose of this committee is to provide spiritual and practical oversight to coordinate, execute, and monitor the implementation of First Calvary Baptist Church’s Blossom 2030 Strategic Plan.

Grounded in prayer and united in purpose, the committee will translate the strategic goals included in Blossom 2030 into actionable initiatives, ensure alignment across ministries, track progress, and address challenges that may impact successful delivery. Through collaboration, accountability, and data-driven decision-making, the committee will help ensure achievement of Blossom 2030 in support of the church’s mission and long-term goals which include:

  • Property stewardship
  • Developing a Christian counseling ministry and center at FCBC
  • Investing in the next generation & leadership development; and
  • Updating policies procedures, by-laws, and governing documents

Committee members are expected to:
  • Attend monthly committee meetings (in-person or virtual).
  • Participate in strategic events (e.g., serving, church business meetings, advocacy days, forums).
  • Commit to average of 5–10 hours/month of service as a minimum.
